Waitlist & Reservation List

These lists reflect families who have completed an application, participated in a phone interview with the Winterfell owner, and placed a waitlist deposit following approval.

Being on the waitlist gives you the opportunity to reserve a kitten once kittens reach approximately 5-7 weeks of age.  Waitlist families receive access to a shared folder where they can follow each kitten’s development for several weeks prior to selection. This allows families to make informed, thoughtful decisions when it is their turn to choose.

How Selection Works

  • Selection begins at the top of the waitlist for each litter.

  • When it is your turn, you will be notified and given 48 hours to select and reserve your kitten.

  • If a selection is not made within that timeframe, the opportunity will pass to the next family on the list.

  • Upcoming selection order will be posted here in advance, and you will also be contacted directly.

Queen Adoption Priority

Families adopting a Queen receive first priority for kitten selection to ensure Queens go home with a companion kitten.  Specialty kittens are excluded from this priority.

Annual Pricing Policy

Winterfell Cats conducts a comprehensive pricing review annually to reflect ongoing investments in breeding excellence, veterinary care, genetic health testing, show-quality lineage development, and overall program improvements.

New pricing becomes effective September 1 of each year and applies to all kittens going home on or after that date.

Waitlist placement is secured by deposit date; however, deposits do not lock in pricing. Families will receive kittens at the pricing in effect at the time their kitten is selected and reserved.

This policy applies equally to:

  • Active waitlist families

  • Families in TBD (To Be Determined) Status

Winterfell Cats is committed to transparency and will update pricing publicly prior to the effective date each year.

Waitlist Families – TBD Status

Families listed below have previously placed a waitlist deposit and have been moved to TBD (To Be Determined) Status.   TBD Status is used when a family has requested to pause their placement on the active selection list or has not yet confirmed readiness to welcome a kitten. All families in this category have been notified of their status.

Rejoining the Active Waitlist

Families in TBD Status may return to the active waitlist at any time by contacting Winterfell Cats and confirming they are ready to move forward. Once confirmation is received, placement will resume based on the original deposit date.

If you believe you were placed in TBD Status in error, please contact Winterfell Cats directly so we can review your account.

** Exceptions:  In rare cases with extenuating circumstances if a family needs to return to the waitlist after reserving a kitten, Winterfellcats reserves the right to reinstate them based on their deposit date.  Kittens can be held back to be evaluated as breeders.  If Winterfell determines 2 kittens are bonded then they can be offered to go home together even if only one kitten deposit was collected.
